CEU Renewals

According to the latest BBS newsletter, Pursuant to Governor Gavin Newsom’s Executive Order N-39-20, during the current state of emergency, the director of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may waive statutory or regulatory requirements with respect to a professional license issued pursuant to Division 2 of the Business and Professions Code (BPC). This includes professional licenses issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

This waiver states that Board licensees whose licenses expire between March 31, 2020, and October 31, 2020, do not need to complete continuing education (CE) in order to renew their license. These licensees will need to complete their CE at a later date—see the FAQ in the red “COVID-19 waivers and FAQs for BBS” box on the Board’s homepage for more information.
